Often we get questions about paid search and its significance/importance relative to a clients organic “ranking”. Many times our clients are ranking well on specific terminology or there business name for example, which is great…. However, this does not necessarily mean you’re getting good traffic volume to your site.
Many times meta descriptions (the snippet of text that shows up in your organic SERP) is informational and may not always speak to the potential consumer responsible for the query.
Another consideration – increased traffic from paid search will improve your organic ranking. That’s right click volume influences “page rank”, the more volume you get, the more relevant you become in the eyes of the engine.
You also need to consider the very individual way in which a consumer interacts with the web – you could literally line up a thousand people, and they could in turn query (or search) something a thousand different ways. There are so many possible deviations of terminology out there its literally impossible to rank well organically for them all. So in effect if you have strong SEO, paid search can only enhance your already good work!
